Lifelong musician and entertainer Dave Gash presents a solo act unlike anything you've ever heard. 45RPM covers over three decades of popular hits. You'll hear songs you know and love, played just the way you remember them.
We're talking real classics here: Beatles, Eagles, Stones, Doors, Hollies, Kinks, Doobies, Creedence, Crosby Stills & Nash, Billy Joel, John Mellencamp, Bad Company, Tom Petty, Queen, ZZ Top, Neil Diamond, and many more, all with a focus on great vocals.
Dave is also a musical trivia buff, and sprinkles the show with fascinating behind-the-scenes stories about the artists and songs, as well as the occasional bad joke. His Fender Strat has a built-in synthesizer for instrument parts like sax, harmonica, and organ, and he plays multiple guitars in the show to get just the right sound in each song.
As The Eagles sang, "Are ya with me so far?"
In a word, freakin' amazing! (Okay, that's two words.) This ain't no canned band, and it sure as hell ain't karaoke! This is real live music, performed by a real live musician. Every note and every voice is played real-time by Dave and his high-tech backup band. There's no sampling, no "borrowing", and no mp3s — just a crisp, rich, full band sound you have to hear to believe. The songs don't just sound good — they sound right!
Need some convincing? No problem — check out our YouTube channel for plenty of live videos!
I play regularly at various clubs, bars, wineries, and bistros in and around Temecula, and at other local venues as my schedule permits.
Great tunes and plenty of 'em! Dave plays songs that he — and probably you — grew up with. And he'll never annoy you with original, "Here's one we wrote" music. In fact, if Dave ever plays a song that makes you go "What the hell was that?", he'll buy you a drink! Song list tip: Click the Song, Artist, or Year headers to sort the list by that column. How cool is that?!?

For those interested in the technology, the computerized backup system is not a bunch of overproduced mp3 files recorded by anonymous studio musicians. Dave personally edits every instrument track and sings every vocal part of every song. He never uses pre-recorded tracks, ripped-off samples, or outside musicians or singers. Every song is all Dave, all the time.
To make the magic happen, Dave plays and programs the various instruments — bass, drums, keyboards, horns, strings, etc. — into a laptop computer using Musical Instrument Digital Interface (MIDI) software, leaving out the parts he'll play live. Next, he sings all the backup harmonies, one part at a time, and synchronizes them to the instruments. So, when Dave plays and sings live with the completed MIDI and audio tracks... well, it's a one-man band that really sounds like a band — because it is!
